Dear Mr. McGaha:
On July 29,1998, a meeting was held with representatives of Entergy Operations, Inc., in the Region IV Office, Arlington, Texas, to discuss issues resulting from the NRC Fire Protection Functional Inspection (FPFI) at River Bend Station. A list of attendees and a copy of the

handout from that meeting are enclosed. We will be conducting inspection followup of the FPFI findings during the week of August 3,1998.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this summary and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
