TVA letter to NRC dated December 1, 1997 The purpose of this letter is to update TVA's schedule for resolution of NRC's concern regarding the nominal instrumentation trip setpoints for ESFAS instrumentation channels contained in the technical specifications (TSs).
Included in Reference 1 is TVA's plan for resolution of NRC's concern.
Reference 2 revised this plan to submit a separate TS amendment request by June 1998.
Resolution of TVA and NRC higher priority issues has delayed this submittal.
TVA now plans to submit this TS amendment request to NRC by September 1998.
