Dear Mr. Fogarty,
Dr. Forrest J..~Remick, ACRS Vice-Chairman and member of the ACRS Subcommittee on Weste Management, called me today to tell me that you had learned.of his June 18, 1987 letter on the subject of Readiness Reviews for Future Nuclear Facilities (a copy of which is enclosed). He also said that you have considerable experience in Quality and Quality Assurance (Q and QA) and Readiness Reviews, and that you would be willing and interested in discussing your experience with us when we hold a joint ACRS Waste Management /Q and QA Subcommittees Meeting in the September-October, 1987 period.

We would be pleased for you to participate with us in that meeting.
s Regarding your participation, it would be helpful if you would provide us with a brief resume of your experience in this area, and tell us what you would propose to discuss. Dr. Remick said it would probably deal with your nuclear power plant experience, but since part of the reason for holding the meeting concerns Q and QA and Readiness Reviews for a Nuclear Waste Geologic Repository,,you might consider having part of your presentation discuss the applicability of the nuclear power plant experience to this area.
