AMENDMEnlT NUMBER 3 TO EXPORT LICENSE XSNM01906 Attached is a letter dated September 9,1996 from General Electric Company requesting an amendment to export license XSNM01906 to authorize exports to Switzerland under the new agreement for cooperation between the U.S. and Switzer1and. Also attached is a letter from GE dated November 7,1995 which requests additional changes to the license; and, for your convenience in reviewing the case, we are enclosing other pertinent documents related to the license.

General Electric advised us that the amount of uranium / uranium-235 remaining to be exported under this license is 85,287.772 kilograms uranium containing 2,646.011 kilograms uranium-236 l

(enriched to 5.0 w/o maximum).

Your assistance in obtaining assurcqces from Switzerland under the new U.S./ Switzerland Agreement for Cooperation would be greatly appreciated. Since this is the first request for l

assurances under the new agreement, please coordinate the request with Robin DeLaBarre at the Department of State.
