cable.followin'g' the pump's failure,to' start. ? When the ' cable was ',

pulled out,'a substance suspected.to be: fuel oil wasL noticed on the

- cable. The. replacement cable.was routed through'a-spare conduit and; the pump verified to op'erate acceptably-befoFe. returning to 'serviceo-1 Investigation continues to find the source of the substance.

M-2 Several reactor coolant pump hatch bolts' were found to be installed, in a configuration different from design. raising. questions as'to the ability to maintain separation of upper and-lower containment-volumes in the event of a LOCA.

l approved design. Analysis is being' conducted.on the "as-found" condition.

M-3 While replacing the auxiliary.feedwater regulating valves, metal beads were discovered in the motors. The motors were returned:to:

the' manufacturer for cleaning and inspection... The operators were inspected, cleaned where necessary,'and all.' components verified to operating acceptably following reassembly.
