NARRATIVE SIMIARY OF OPERATIONS' August,-1987 There were two significant" power reductions during the month of.' August.

.On 8/8/87, power was reduced'to allow containment access for;the inspection and repair of motor-operated valve connections. The unit returned to full power operation.on 8/13/87.

= On 8/21/87, power was reduced to re-terminate the leads on 'the post-IACA Laixing fans. The unit returned to full power operation on 8/22/87.:

.s-The following major safety-related maintenance ~ was.perforised> in the month; of August:

1.

The solenoid splices and aotor-operated valve splices that were-installed utilizing methods.not evaluated by. design for-environmental qualification were re-terminated in'accordance with' newly approved EQ' terminations'on a priority basis.-

2.

The thermostat was repaired on the control room A train pressurization unit.

3.

The ID inverter was repaired.

4.

Miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance was performed on the diesel generators.
