REPORT FINALIZED ON TMI-2 SLEEPING ALLEGATION l

On November 24, 1987 the licensee informed NRC Region I that a report of the licensee's investigation regarding an allegation that a shift supervisor was sleeping on shift has been finalized and will be provided to the NRC.
The report documents the results of an investigation conducted by attorney Edwin Stier for GPUN of an anonymous allegation received on July 9,1987 concerning the licensed senior reactor operator.
Following receipt of the report, GPUN dismissed the shift supervisor under investigation.
Media interest may occur because of public sensitivity to TMI related events.
The licensee is issuing a press release. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has been notified.
