INSPECTION REPORTS PROMISED TO CONGRESSMAN MARKEY
Reference:
Chairman Zech's May 13, 1987 Letter to Congressman Markey Your memorandum of May 14, 1987 requests that copies of two NRC inspection reports be forwarded to Mr. Markey through your office upon completion.
Enclosed is a copy of the second report, NRC Inspection Report No.
99900403/87-03, which has been recently reviewed by General Electric for proprietary information pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790. This review did not identify any portions of the report to be proprietary.
Concerns expressed by Mr. Markey in the areas of the Reactor Mode Switch, unverified documents used to verify FSARs, fire protection and subcontractor personnel signature related issues have all been addressed in the enclosed report. The area of deferred design verification was not completed during this inspection. This item will be reviewed during our next inspection scheduled for November 9-13, 1987. A copy of that inspection report will be forwarded to your office upon completion.
