Dear Mr. Chairman:
This is to inform you that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission intends to publish in the Federal Register the enclosed final amendments to the Commission's regulations in 10 CFR Part 34. These amendments clarify several ambiguities and make changes to correct some of the effective dates specified in the recently published overall revision to Part 34.
These changes will have no adverse impact on the health and safety of workers or the public, and are not expected to impose any significant burden on licensees.
