..As noted'in PN-75-115, dated October 29, 1975, the.0ffice of Inspection and i
Enforcement solicited comments from eight firms, on draft copies of the JLicensee Contracter and Vendor Inspection Status Report - the " White Book."
Visits to each of these firms by.' senior members of the Region IV staff to discuss the report did not. result in any suggestions for major changes in format or content of-it.
Minor changes, most of them editorial, were sug.
gested and will be considered by IE in preparing the first formal-issue of the White Book, anticipated in mid-January 1976, covering data for the-
'last quarter of. calendar year 1975.
In the absence of suggestions for substantive changes in the draft report
.on the part of.the eight firms' initially contacted, II has distributed b
copies of-the' draft report to the remaining 87. firms currently under the.

vendor inspection program, soliciting review and comment. The forward-f"'
ring = letter, dated December 8, 1975, also annov.nces.our intent to sead copies of:the draft report to all. applicants and licensees for~their

review and comment. Preliminary review was solicited also from five utilities (TVA, Duke Power, Philadelphia Electric, Wisconsin Electric
. and 'PG&E) requesting their responses by December 15,'1975.'
This subject was previously discussed in SECY 520 and was the sub-
, ject of a commission briefing on September 23, 1975.
