PEER REVIEW OF STAFF PROPOSED RESOLUTION OF KEY LICENSING ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH DOE ADVANCED REACTOR CONCEPTS -
FINAL MEETING A peer review has been. initiated of the staff proposed approach to the resolution of the key licensing issues (accident selection, source tern, containment and emergency planning) associated with the DOE sponsored advanced reactor concepts. The peer review members are R. Budnitz, R. Mattson and J. Hendrie. A meeting was held with the peer review members on November 2, 1987 to familiarize them with the advanced reactor concepts, the key licensing issues and the proposed staff approach for their resolution.
A final meeting has been scheduled with them on December 18, 1987, beginning at 8 a.m. in Room P-118, to further discuss the issues, the staff pro)osed approach to their resolution and peer review feedback. The meeting s1ould adjourn by 3 p.m.
