ANTI-NUCLEAR DEMONSTRATION A group of anti-nuclear demonstrators, who started from Brattleboro, Vt., is expected to arrive at the Vemont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant at about 2 p.m.
today and demonstrate at the front gate. About 35-40 people are expected l to walk in the demonstration and an unidentified number of additional f demonstrators are expected to participate by car. The group , reportedly '
calls itself the " Alternate Energy Coalition (AEC)". Escort by local JEM
-law enforcement officials is reportedly being accomplished. A contingency l of the same group demonstrated peacefully at the Yankee Corporate Offices in Westboro this morning. The Vermont Yankee front gate is ,
( reportedly being shut and extra plant guards have been stationed there.
Efforts are being made by tia licensee to have local law enforcement ,
officers monitor the demonstration at the power plant.
Media interest is expected because of prior local interest.
The State of Vermont is being kept informed. A press release is not planned.
