To discuss new NAC. dry storage cask designs.

NAC plans to submit topical reports for 2. cask designs. These cask designs'
,1 will be similar to the submitted NAC S/T cask design,'but one' cask will store fuel l
l rods from up to 56 consolidated PWR spent _ fuel assemblies in 28 cans and the other cask will store 31 intact PWR spent fuel assemblies'with allowance for burnup r
credit taken in cask criticality design.
Both casks will;be associated with l
Virginia Power Part 72 licensing actions at the Surry reactor.-site's independent spent fuel storage, installation.
Shielding and' dosimetry aspects of the NAC'S/T ca'sk design under review were also discussed.
