EFFLUENT RELEASE TO LONG ISLAND SOUND The licensee reported late on 3/31 to Region 1, OIE, that during final cleanup effort at Unit 2, required by prior contamination of the condensate steam system servicing both the operating unit and construction site, approximately 2500 gallons of water were released from a sump pit at Unit 2, to the intake structure of Unit 2 and subsequently to the Long Island Sound. Total activity was approximately 309 microcuries. The concentration was 10-5 microcuries/ml. The
