PERSONNEL CONTAMINATION / EXPOSURE j Airborne mist has been sprayed from the packing of a Unit No. 1 reactor coolant charging pump into the Auxiliary Building for Unit Nos. 1 and 2.

The pump has been isolated.

The extent of personnel contamination / exposure is not yet*known; however,

_-some licensee personnel are known to be contaminated. Ni j

' ~- Personnel are being removed from the' Unit 2 (construction) side of the

~ ,

l l (' Auxiliary Building which is separated from Unit 1 by a security fence.

These people are being monitored and will be decontaminated if necessary.

Media interest is expected because of the ordered removal of construction o personnel from the Auxiliary Building, g; ;

The State of Maryland is being kept informed. A press release is planned by NRC.
