Editorial Change to License Amendment Request on Control Room Staffing (TAC No. 66416)
Gentlemen:
Toledo Edison's submittal of October 16, 1987 (Serial No. 1399) requested a change to the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS) Unit No. 1, Operating License, Appendix A Technical Specifications to reflect licensed operator staffing consistent with 10CFR50.54, paragraphs (m) and (k).
Since that submittal,'a revision to Administrative Procedure AD 1839.00, Station Operations, has been proposed to redesignated Control Room areas.
This change will affect the nomenclature proposed in Serial No. 1399 for Technical Specification 6.2.2b in that " control panel area" will be designated as "at the controls area".
Therefore, the issued wording for Technical Specification 6.2.2b should be:
At least one lictased Operator shall be in the At the Controls Area when fuel is in the reactor.
This change in nomenclature is consistent with the proposed DBNPS control room area designations, is editorial in nature and does not affect the supporting evaluations of Serial No. 1399.
