SUBJECT:
Seabrook operating license case:
onsite emercency plannina and technical-issues
Dear Administrative Judges:
The Board's secretary has brought to my attention the fact that the New England Coalition on Nuclear Pollution's Motion for Extension of Hearing Schedule, dated November'30, was inadvertently captioned "Before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Appeal Board," rather than before the Licensing Board, as was intended.
I am enclosing a corrected first page of the Motion, which now has.the proper caption for the Licensing-Board.
I am also enclosing a copy of the service list, which the Board appar-ently did not receive.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused by this oversight.
Sincerely, D ane Curran I

MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF HEARING SCHEDULE l
-By order dated October 16, 1987, the Licensing Board est'b-
~
a lished a schedule for litigation of the two remanded contentions in the onsite emergency planning and technical phase of the-Seabrook case (NECNP contentions IV and I;V.).
Under the sched-ule, the time for discovery commenced on October 26, 1987, and will close on December 28.
The Board a,lso requested the parties to' notify it, by December 7, 1987', whether they. intend to file summary disposition motions on any of.the remanded contentions.
The New England Coalition on Nuclear Pollution ("NECNP")
respectfully requests an extension of this hearing schedule.
Because of the demands posed by the complexities of the issues raised by these two contentions, as well as other obligations 1
arising from both the onsite and offsite proceedings, the time allowed for discovery is not adequate to fully prepare for this litigation.
During the entire first week of discovery on these contentions, NECNP was also required by the Appeal Board to brief
