Violation dated June 8,1998. We have reviewed your reply and find it responsive to the
concerns raised in our Notice of Violation. We will review the implementation of your corrective
actions during a future inspection to determine that full compliance has been achieved and will
be maintained.

Dear Sir,

In response to the " NOTICE OF VIOLATION" report number 150-00042/98-08 dated June 8,1998 are
the following:
VIOLATION: FAILURE TO FILE FOR RECIPROCITY UNDER OUR STATE OF TEXAS
LICENSE PRIOR TO WORKING IN AREAS UNDER NRC JURISDICTION IN
JANUARY 1998
1) The violation was corrected immediately upon it's discovery which was within 3 days of the initial
violation.
2) The reason leading up to and creating the environment in which the violation occurred was
a. Transfer of Radiation Safety Officer duties to new RSO
b. Transfer of Reciprocity documentation duties to new secretary
c. Lack of communication between field staff and secretary
3) In order to prevent a reoccurrence of the violation, Tracerco will provide refresher training on
procedure TP20 (OBTAINING RECIPROCITY) for all current and new employees.
4) Tracerco will be in full compliance by the end of the third quarter of 1998.
