Dear Dr. Murley:
The enclosure to this letter provides additional information in response to the request made in Mr. D. L. Wigginton's letter dated October 15, 1987 to Mr. John E. Dolan, concerning Miscellaneous Amendments and Search Requirements.
This information supplements our letter AEP:NRC:0846W, dated December 2, 1986, which responded to the Federal Register / Volume 51 No.,149/ Monday, August 4, 1986/
Rules and Regulations, 10 CFR Parts 50 and 73, Miscellaneous Amendments Concerning Physical Protection of Nuclear Power Plants.
The proposed amendments (AEP:NRC:0846W) to the Modified Amended Security Plan (MASP) define how the amended requirements of 73.55 paragraphs (a), (d)(1), (d)(7), (d)(9), and (e)(1) and 73.70 paragraph (d) will be met.
Amendment (d)(1) shall be implemented within 60 days of Commission approval and all other amendments shall be implemented within 180 days of Commission approval.
As this information must be handled and protected in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21, it is requested that the enclosure to this letter be withheld from public disclosure and not placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
Please acknowledge receipt of the enclosed Safeguards Information by signing and returning the enclosed Form SI-3, Certificate of Receipt for Document Transmittal to M. J. Jury, Nuclear Operations.
