The Commission met with' members of the Advisory Committee on Nuclear Waste to discuss the Committee's views on risk-informed, performance-based regulation; interim guidance on support of the final rule on Radiological Criteria for License Terrnination; NRC waste-related research; near-field environment and performance of engineered barriers; and ACNW plans, priorities, and accomplishments for FY 1998 and FY 1999 plans and priorities. There were no l
requirements identified for NRC staff or ACNW action.
