Dear Dr. Murley:
The purpose of this letter is to resubmit a clarification of the D. C. Cook Modified Amended Security Plan (MASP) as it concerna vital equipment. This clarification is being submitted for approval in accordance with 10 CFR 50.90 as directed by a letter from Mr. D. L. Wigginton to Mr. John Dolan dated September 29, 1987. We had originally submitted this clarification of the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant vital equiprnent area in Revision 14 to the MASP under 10 CFR 50.54(p).
Mr. Wigginton's letter stated that the submittal was disapproved L
because it was deemed to decrease the effectiveness of the approved Security Plan, which cannot be accomplished under the provision of 10 CFR 50.54(p).
In light of the information in Attachment 1 to this letter, we respectfully request consideration of this proposed Revision 15, which clarifies the vital equipment addressed in the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant MASP (Attachment 2).
In addition. Attachment 1 provides the results of our significant hazard consideration
<g analyses, as specffled in 10 CFR 50.92.
As this information involves a subject matter which is exempt from disclosure by 10 7g CFR 73.21(c)(2), it is requested that the Attachments be withheld g,
from public disclosure and not placed in the NRC Public Document sh Room.
20 gC We believe that the proposed revision to the MASP will not result in (1) n significant change in the types of effluents or a significant increase in the amounts of any effluents that may be go released offsite, or (2) a significant increase in individual or cumulative occupational radiation enposure.
