REQUEST FOR WITHHOLDING INFORMATION FROM PUBLIC DISCLOSURE VERMONT YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER STATION (TAC NO. MA2020)

By letter dated May 28,1998, Mr. Donald A. Reid of Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power i
Corporation submitted General Electric's affidavit dated May 21,1998, executed by Mr. David J.
Robare, requesting that NEDC-32814P, DRF B13-01874, " Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station SAFER /GESTR-LOCA Loss-of-Coolant Accident Analysis, Class Ill," dated March 1998 be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790. By this same letter General Electric's affidavit dated May 21,1998, executed by Mr. Glen A. Watford, was also submitted requesting that 24A5416AA, Revision 0, " Lattice Dependent MAPLHGR Report for Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station Reload 19 Cycle 20" March 1998 be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790. A non-proprietary version of these two documents was not submitted.
j lt is preferable to submit a non-proprietary version of any proprietary documents submitted to the NRC. We hereby request that any future letters sent to the NRC containing proprietary documents also include non-proprietary versions.
We have also determined that the information provided in these two proprietary documents is not necessary for the NRC staff review of the Core Operating Limits Report also submitted by the letter dated May 28,1998. Therefore, these documents are being return to you and are enclosed. We understand that the documents will be available at your facilities for future review or inspection, if necessary.
