NRC REVIEW OF BATTELLE MEMORIAL INSTITUTE'S (BCl)
CHARACTERIZATION AND FINAL STATUS REPORTS FOR BUILOING KA-7 NORTH
Dear Dr. Ermold:
This refers to your May 29, and July 17,1998, letters regarding BCl's characterization and final status surveys for Building KA-7 North. This also refers to the July 16, and 17,1998, telephone conversations between Messrs. Steve Layendecker, BCI's Radiation Safety Officer, and George McCann, of my staf* during which technical details of the reports were discussed. Based on my staffs review of the Reports, and our discussions with your staff, we have no further questions regarding this facility at this time and do not intend to perform any NRC confirmatory Surveys.
- Since this building is to be retained under the authority of your Broadscope license, and may have areas designated for use in the future via the authority of your Broadscope License, revision of the Final Status Report may be cema%y wnen you request termination of your license.-
