The purpose of this modification is to: (1) revise Section C.4.6, C.4.7, and C.4.8, and C.8.0 at

. no additional cost or obligations to the Govemment in accordance with SAIC letter dated June 16,1998. Accordingly, the contract is hereby modified as follows:

1. . Under Section C.4.6, "NUREG-0713" DELETE the last paragraph, and under Section C.8.0, " Level of Effort" DELETE paragraph two. Both paragraphs state the following:

"The contractor shall deP'gnate a Health Physkist (HP) to review the overexposure reports and prepare the draft text of the chapter on overexposure for each volume of NUREG-0713."

l This modification will eliminate the requirement for the contractor to provide a Health i Physicist to review the overexposure reports and prepare the draft text for the overexposure I chapter of the NUREG.  !

2. Under Section C.4.7, "Ad Hoc Reports", is hereby revised to add a requirement that ad hoc queries to support rulemaking will require the approval of the project manager. Therefore j C.4.7 is replaced with the following:

"The contractor shall modify or develop computer programs necessary for ,

developing various other reports, as directed by the Project Officer. These ad-hoc i reports are generally required within a 5-7 day turnaround period, at the direction of the project officer. Ad hoc queries to support rulemaking will require the approval of the project officer."

3. Section C.4.1," System Installation", is hereby revised to remove the requirements for the contractor to provide technical support to licensees who are using this software to manage their radiation dosimetry programs and to prepare electronic and hard-copy reports from Clause C.4.1 to clause C.4.8. In addition, Section C.4.1 is revised to remove the requirement for the contractor to respond to routing reports and searches from clause C.4.1 to clause C.4.8. Accordingly, the following changes are made:

l Section C.4.1, " System Installation," the last two sentences which state the following are hereby deleted.

"The contractor shall respond to requests for routing reports and searches within three working days, and the systems shall be accessible to the NRC Project Officer via modem l for the extraction of individual exposure histories and other data needs. The contractor shall be responsible for providing technical support to licensees using NRC providing REMIT software to manage radiation exposure data and to prepare electronic and hard l copy reports."  !

4. Section C.4.8 is revised to: 1) change the titlN,2) add a statement that the contractor shall develop a Windows-based version of REMIT, and 3) incorporate the last two sentences from C.4.1 to this section. Therefore Section C.4.8 is deleted and replaced in its entirety with the following:

"C.4.8 " Technical Assistance for 10 CFR Part 20 Dosimetry Recorakeeping and Reporting Requirements.

It is estimated that approximately 2 technical assistance tasks shall be assigned per year.

It is estimated that each task shall require approximately 500 hours0.00579 days <br />0.139 hours <br />8.267196e-4 weeks <br />1.9025e-4 months <br /> of personnel effort.

The contractor shall develop a Windows-based version of REMIT. The contractor shall provide technical support to the NRC in the area of dosimetry records, software development, and implementation of the revised 10 CFR Part 20. The contractor shall respond to requests for routing reports and searches within three working days, and the systems shall be accessible to the NRC Project Officer via modem for the exiraction of individual exposure histories and other data needs. The contractor shall be responsible for providing technical support to licensees using NRC providing REMIT sof'. ware to manage radiation exposure data and to prepare electronic and ha.ti copy reports."

All other terms and conditions, including the ceiling amount of $1,171,356 for NRC's portion and

$838,513.00 for DOE's, remain unchanged.
