License Change Request 93-18 requested changes to Appendix A of the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS) Facility Operating License. The proposed changes were submitted to support PBAPS Modification P00271, which replaces the Source Range and Intermediate Range Monitors with a new Wide Range Neutron Monitoring System (WRNMS).
Reference letter (1) requested that the WRNMS amendment for Unit 2 not be issued earlier than September 1,1998, in order to preclude confusion between the effective date for the Unit 2 WRNMS amendment and any subsequent amendment requests that might affect the same Technical Specifications (TS) pages. It also provided the schedule for installing Modification P00271 on Unit 2 during the Fall 1998 refueling outage.
j Reference letter (2) issued Amendment No. 224 to PBAPS Unit 3 to support installation of Modification P00271 in the Fall 1997 refueling outage. It also agreed to issue the Unit 2 amendment just prior to refueling outage 2R12 to incorporate any subsequent amendments affecting the same TS pages.
