Transmittal of the 1998 Medical Drill Evaluation Report for the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station Enclosed is a copy of the final medical drill report for the June 10 e.rd 11,1998, medical drill of the offsite radiological emergency response plans site-specific to the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station. The States ofIowa and Nebraska participated during this drill. The report was prepared j

by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region VII staff. A copy of the final report will be provided to the States ofIowa and Nebraska by the FEMA Region VII staff.

There were no deficiencies or areas requiring corrective action identified during this drill. Based on the results ot the June 10 and 11,1998, medical drill, the offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the States ofIowa and Nebraska and the affected local l

jurisdictions, site-specific to the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station, can be implemented and are l

adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to provide transport and treatment of contaminated, injured, or exposed individuals.
