Dear Sir:

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90 Commonwealth Edison (CECO) proposes to amend Facility Operating Licenses NPF-ll and NPF-18. This amendment is being submitted for your staff's review and approval and is in accordance l with reference (a). ]

The administrative Technical Specifications for LaSalle County Station were reviewed for the new LER Rule, 10 CPR 50.73, (Reference (b)) in May of 1984 and approved by the NRC (Reference (c)) in May of 1985. The changes consisted of replacing the words " reportable occurrence" with l

" reportable event" and other changes to reflect 10 CFR 50.73. I During an NRC audit, the inspector noted that LaSalle Station Technical Specification 6.1.G.l.7 departed from the requested language describing the responsibilities of the Offsite Review Group. This proposed amendment to the Technical Specifications is to change the language from i

" Reportable occurrences requiring 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> notification to the NRC." to "ALL REPORTABLE EVENTS." J Attachment A provides the changes to be made to the Facility License. Commonwealth Edison has reviewed this document and finds that no significant hazards exist. This review is documented in Attachment B.

Commonwealth Edison is notifying the State of Illinois of our request for this amendment by transmitting a copy of this letter and attachments to the designated state official. ,
