Subject:
FATALITY AT CONSTRUCTION SITE The licensee reported that at about 8:45 a.m., a truck driver was killed during dumping of riprap on the dike area of the cooling lake. The driver was attempting to dump the load when high winds cauted the dump body and load to shift and fall onto the truck cab crushing the driver. The construction site does not plan'to make a press release; however, news reporters monitor the radio notification
~g system used by the licensee and the news media may learn of the event in that manner.
It is possible a press release will be made by the licensee's Chicago, Illinois office.
Region III received notification of this occurrence by telephone from the Commonwealth Edison Lead Station Engineer at 10:30 a.m., on January 26. 1977.
