PROPOSED RULE (52 FR 6980);
i EMERGENCY.PLANhlNQ 11556 Mildred Struck 100 Carnegie St.
SOLMETEP Manchester, NH 03104 WNE October 14, 1987 w Et 20 P228 hhr,kCHYEYv^kf Secretary US_ Nuclear Regulatory Commission 3RA Washington, DC 20555 Attn:
Docket'ing and Service Branch
Dear Folks,
.I
.I am writing to urge you to reject thepropsed rule that would limit state and local participation in emergency planning.
As a resident of New Hampshire, I am deeply concerned about the health and safety-of my family and others in the event of an accident at Seabrook.
Governor Dukakis and all six towns in the Mass.
Emergency Planning Zone have already rejected the Seabrook plans as unworkable.
I stand behind their decision.
I fail to see the logic in offering PSNH employees
$500 to-evacuate people.
I'd like to know who it is who, in the event of an accident,
'will leave his or her family to go into a radiation zone to evacuate people, putting not only his or her life at risk, but possibly that of
]
his er her family.
And for $500?
Please honor the decision of the state of Massachusetts and the cities
'and towns conce rned.
