The Commission
- was briefed by the staff on the process and status of unresolved safety and generic issues.
Chairman Zech requested the staff to continue efforts to improve timely resolution of generic / unresolved safety issues (e.g., rapid turnaround / concurrence by senior level management, etc.).
Commissioner Rogers requested the staff to conduct a periodic review of the low priority issues to assess if those issues, which are not actively pursued, should have their priority periodically reassessed in light of new information.
Subsequent to the meeting, the Commission requested the staff to provide another briefing which-focuses on:
progress and improvements in processing and resolving a.
GIs/USIs, and b.
status of each unresolved safety issue.
