AREA ARRESTS FOR SALE OF DRUGS (UPDATE) j l

i On June 17, and 25, 1987 (PNS-V-87-04 and 04A), Region V reported that on June 16, 1987, the Sacramento Narcotics Task Force arrested six persons involved in the possession, sale and use of cocaine; two of those arrested were employed at Rancho.Seco, one as a utility clerk and the other a utility helper.. Originally, the utility clerk was released on $50,000 bond and the utility helper was released on his own recognizance.

l The Sacramento Bee newspaper reported that on Monday, October 19, 1987,-the utility clerk pleaded guilty to conspiracy and sale of cocaine and was sentenced in Superior Court to 360 days in jail for arranging to sell an undercover agent a pound of cocaine for $20,800. Reportedly, the utility clerk admitted that she sold to only-four employees at Rancho Seco on a regular basis'and that they were clerks or.

site parking lot or off site; she denied ever having sold drugs in a Rancho Seco office.

I Rancho Seco has been in a cold shutdown since December 26, 1985.
