Dear Mr. MacDonald:
This is to request that the subject Certificate of Compliance be amended.
Enclosed for your review are eight (8) copies of Hittman Drawing STD-02-028, Revision 8.
This drawing reflects the as-built configuration of the drain plug, Item 13, as shown in Se: tion D-D of this drawing.
Our records indicate that Hittman Drawing STD-02-028, Revision 8, was previ ousl y submitted to you for review in October 1983 (see the enclosed copy of the above referenced letter).
It is possible that review of this drawing may have been completed by you at that time and the subsequent revision to the Certificate of Compliance (Rev. 9) simp 1v failed to reflect this revised drawing.
Or possibly, this submittal was never received by you.
Regardless, the long-stant ing inconsistency was discovered by us during a recent review of our cask records.
It is noted that the attached documents are stamped " PROPRIETARY" and bear notices relative to the further dissemination of this inf or-mation.
Hittman has no objection to the filing of this material in th?
Nuclear Regulatory Commission Public Document Room, provided that the notices remain in file w'ith this material.

20555 SUBJECI: HNDC Model HN-100 Series 1 Radioactive Haterialc Package Certificate of Compliance No. 9086 Submittal of "As-Built" Drawings
Dear Hr. MacDonald:
Enclosed for your reference is Hittman Nuclear & Development Corporation drawing No. STD-02-028, Rev. 8, (8 copies) which reflects the "as-built" configuration of the drain plug, Item 13, as shown in Section D-D of this drawing. The outermost internal threads have been removed to facilitate removal of the drain plug; this is indicated by an added note.
The drain tube into which the plug fits has been pictorially corrected.
It shows that the tube's outer edge is joined around its perimeter to the cask body with an existing fillet weld. The weld symbol has been corrected accordingly.
The drain plug itself is recessed into the cask body.
It is noted that the attached documents are stamped " Proprietary" and bear notices relative to the further dissemination and use of this informa-tion.
Hittman has no objection to the filing of this material in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Public Document Room, provided that the notices remain on file with this material.
