.e Dear Mr. Barrisons
~
This'is in response to your letter of May 21, 1975.
i I have designated Mr. G. Wayne Kerr of our Agreements and Exports Branch to work with Dr. Russell concerning the study of criteria and funding for the perpetual care program at Maxey Flats. Mr. Kerr's title and address are as follows:
s Mr. G. Wayne Kerr, Chief
.' Agreements and Exports Bran'ch Division of Materials and Fuel i
Cycle Facility Licensing U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comunission Washington, D. C. 20555 t
{,
(301) 492-7767 l-As indicated in our earlier letter. we have no particular expertise in the area of determining the amount of funds necessary to carry out a perpetual i
care. program. We believe this is'a matter for the' State to work out with I
the licensee, based on the perpetual care program established for the' site.
As Mr. Kerr discussed with you during the meeting held in Frankfort on June 4, we will be pleased to offer our technical assistance in this review i
and evaluation of the perpetual care program the working group plans to develop for,the Mazay Flats site.
