DISCOVERY OF BOMB IN CONSTRUCTION WORKER'S VEHICLE A Long Island newspaper reported that, on August 27, a crude bomb was discovered, by a gas-station attendant, attached to the gas tank of an auto that he was servicing. The auto was owned by a steam fitter who was employed by a subcontractor at the Siareham site. No bomb threat, direct or implied, was made against the Shoreham site. The incident appears to be related to a labor dispute.

Media interest has been expressed (Newsday) because of the worker's e==

place of employment. A press release is not planned. The FBI has been

Region I, Philadelphia, Pa., received notification of this occurrence by telephone from a licensee's representative at 2:45 p.m., August 30, 1976.
