DEMONSTRATION BY CONTINENTAL WALK FOR DISARE M NT AND SOCIAL JUSTICE GROUP l

In a letter to the President of NMECO, this group stated their intention l to conduct a peaceful vigil at the Millstone Site on August 25, 1976 between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. The size of the group is not

'known.

The letter stated that the group does not intend to interfere with Millstone operations or block traffic. It stated that the group's purpose is to raise the issue of the spiraling arms race and to change national priorities from militarism to human needs. It further stated

. that the group is opposed to nuclear power because nuclear plants are '

l not safe. .

The local police will be at the site to control the crowd as necessary.

State Police assistance will be obtained only if needed.

and arrive in Washington, D.C. in October, 1976. No location was glven ,/
