discussion of the results with you and members of the B&W staff at the conclu-sion of the inspection.

The inspection was conducted to determine if the recommendations developed for i

the Babcock and Wilcox Owners Group as described in BAW-1919, Revision 5, "B&W Owners Group Safety and Performance Improvement Program," were being i

adequately tracked and accounted for during the review and disposition process.

Areas examined during the NRC inspection are discussed in the enclosed report.

Within those areas, the inspection consisted of an examination of selected recommendations, and an examination of the review and disposition process, and interviews with personnel. This inspection was primarily an information gathering inspection. However, during the course of the inspection weaknesses were noted in the documentation of the recommendation disposition process.

These observation are described in the enclosed report, specifically for the areas reviewed under Sections C.5,6,7,9 and 10. Notwithstanding these obser-vations, the inspection team was able to determine the disposition of all recommendations.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Comission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
