Revision to DAEC Security Plan (SPC-18) l
Dear Sirs:
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR.50.54(p), Iowa Electric is making revisions to' the Duane Arnold Energy Center Security Plan.
Th'ese revisions noted as Security Plan Change 18, have been reviewed ~in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(p) and it is ,
our. determination that this change does not' decrease the safeguards effectiveness'of the Security Plan.
However, since one of these revisions involves the removal of a !
protective barrier, we will not implement that particular revision until it ;
has been approved by your staff. The remainder of-the revisions shall be implemented upon issuance of this letter.
Due to the procedure by which the Security plan is bound before
. inserting it into the three-ring binder, the entire Security Plan is being resubmitted. There are, however, no changes that involve the Guard Training and Qualification p1an.
