STAFF REQUIREMENTS: SECY-98-106 - l IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY SAFEGUARDS MEASURES IN THE UNITED STATES The Commission accepted the new international Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards responsibilities described in SECY 98-106, provided that the Executive Branch mskes arrangements for clarifying legislative authority, provides NRC the needed resources, and develops and funds an interagency coordinated system for information processing and reporting. The staff is directed to inform the Acting Chair of the IAEA Steering Committee, U.S.

l Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, of the Commission's decision, subject to the following i

changes in the text of the proposed letter:

the first bullet should address the resource contingency and should read as follows:
