l Pursuant to the requirements'of 10CFR50 Appendix;H and Technical)
Specification 3/4.4.10, Alabama-Power Company herewith submits the Westinghouse WCAP-11563 Revision 1 report entitled." Analysis of. Capsule X from the Alabama Power Company Joseph M. Farley Unit ~1/ Reactor Vessel Radiation Surveillance Program." This report presents the surveillance-capsule test results from Capsule X, which were used to evaluate the reactor vessel material properties following 6.12 EFPY'.
Based on the attached surveillance capsule test results, fno technical' changes to the pressure-temperature. limits or to the operating. procedures-are required. A Technical Specification change-will be 'made to -address the capsule lead factors which have changed as a result of"the analysis'being -
based on Farley specific fluence and fuel loading patterns. However, these' changes do not affect the capsule withdrawal schedule,-are minor in. nature,-
and will be incorporated into a Technical Specification amendment, request scheduled to be submitted in January,1988.
