Sequoyah-Fuels Corporation-License No. $NM-928 As-a result of the inspection conducted on June 9-12, 1987, and in accordance 1
with the '.' General Policy)and Procedures for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1985,'the.following violation was identified:
' License Condition No. 16 (Uranium license, SNM-928) requires that the licensee shall' conduct a routine surface radiological survey of the facility on a monthly basis.
The surface contamination levels in the controlled area shall
'be maintained below 5000 dpm/100 cm (removablealpha).

. Contrary to the abo've, during the period March 1-31, 1987 and April 1-30,s1987, radiological surveys were not conducted in either the men's and/or women change room in the uranium plant.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement IV).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201,,you are required to submit to this office within thir days of the'date of this Notice a written statement or explanation in rep y, including for each violation:
(1)correctiveaction.
taken and the resu ts achieved; (2) corrective action to be taken to avoid furtherviolations;and(3)thedatewhenfullcompliancewillbeachieved.
