INTEGRATED STRUCTURE FOR TECHNICAL ISSUE RESOLUTION FOR PASSIVE CONTAINMENT _ COOLING SYSTEM (DRAFT)
By your letter dated July 28,1994, Westinghouse submitted the subject report as part of its application for certification of the AP600 design and requested that it be withheld from public disclosure. The request was made in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 and was supported by affidavit (AW-94-698), executed by you, dated July 28,1994, wh:ch claims, in part, that the information is classified as proprietary because "The development of the technology described in part by the information is the result of applying the results of many years of experience in an intensive Westinghouse effort and the expenditure of a considerable sum of money."
- We have reviewed the subject report in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790; however, in that no specific portions of theleport have been marked as proprietary and a nonproprietary version of the report has not been submitted, the staff is not able to determine
= which portions of the subject document Westinghouse wishes to be withheld from public disclosure.
You are requested to review your claim and to notify the staff what portions of the report, if any, are still considered company proprietary. If the information is not received, we intend to place the subject document in the NRC Public Document Room in 30 days from the date of this letter, if you wish to withdraw these documents you may do so within the 30-day time period, pursuant to 10 CFR Section 2.790. However, if you decide to withdraw this document, you should be i
aware that the staff has relied on the information presented in this document in the safety evaluation of the AP600 design; therefore, the required information would need to be provided in
