PNS-76-20 This preliminary notification constitutes EARLY notice of events of POSSIBLE national security or public interest significance.
The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically _
all that is known by IE staff as of this date.

All Operating Reactors and Major Fuel Facilities
Subject:
INCREASED SECURITY AWARENESS IE Regional Offices have notified all operating reactors and major fuel facilities that information, not fully verified, suggests that two groups may have plans to take over or occupy one of more nuclear power plants on Memorial Day Weekend or to take other actions in early June. As a result, IE has requested the cooperation of these facilities to alert tleir 3
security forces and plant personnel for the period Friday, May 28th through g-g Tuesday, June 8th to assure that:
1.
Existing security plans are operative, personnel are vigilant, i,
Q and security equipment and barriers are completely functional.
2.
Response forces and other interfacing organizations are alert.
3.
Any security related event or occurrence at their facility is reported to the responsible Regional Office immediately.
