Gentlemen:
On February 15, 1989, TV Electric verbally' notified the NRC of a deficiency involving Gamma-Metrics supplied cable assemblies.for post-accident neutron ;
flux monitors..Specifically, Gamma-Metrics has issued a 10CFR21 notification that addresses possible leaks:in threads and solder connections of the neutron flux monitor cable assemblies.
This is an interim report of a potentially-repurtable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
Further evaluation of this issue is required to determine potential impact.on

plant' safety.
The next report will be issued by June 2,1989.
