Vogtle Electric Generating Plant - Units 1 & 2 USNRC Inspection Reports 50-424/86-59, 50-425/86-26 and 50-424/87-11, 50-425/87-07; GPC letters GN-1158 dated 10/31/86 and GN-1358 dated 3/31/87 In the correspondence referenced above, Georgia Power Company describtd corrective actions and actions to prevent recurrence relative to discrepancies identified during USNRC. inspections between some FSAR commitments and as-built conditions at the.Vogtle Electric Generating Plant.

These actions were also discussed with cognizant USNRC Region II personnel in a telephone conversation of July 14, 1987.

The engineering review to ensure consistency between the implemerited design and that described in the VEGP FSAR was completed in December 1986.

No discrepancies of safety significance were identified and the discrepancies that were found were corrected in FSAR amendments prior to Unit 1 fuel load.

Actions to prevent recurrence, including retraining responsible engineering personnel and issuance of a memorandum to remind project engineering personnel of the importance of following established design change control procedures, and of timely incorporation of changes into the FSAR when required, were completed as committed in the referenced responses.

This correspondence contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the USNRC Public Document i
