PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO EXPORT LICENSE XUO8648 i
On October 20, 1987, Edlow International Company requested an amendment to export license XUO8648 to 1) change the ultimate consignee from Desy F35 Laboratory in West Germany to CERN in Switzerland; and 2) add York University.
j in Canada as an additional intermediate consignee.
The licensee has. requested an exemption to the normal'15-day waiting period due to the urgent requirement for.the material in Switzerland at a time when the test beam is available at CERN.
The staff has concluded that the proposed amendment meets. the' requirements of the' Atomic Energy Act, as amended, and would not be inimical'to the common defense and security of the United States.- In view of the above considerations, the staff issued the license without the normal 15-day waiting period.
