As you are aware, the NRC has recently undergone an agency-wide reorgani-zation, which resulted'in a change in both branch name and bra,ch manage-ment personnel relative to the safeguards licensing authority within the 1
NRC. What was formerly.the " Safeguards Material Licensing and 1
International Activit'les Branch" is now the " Licensing Branch."
I (the undersigned) have replaced Dr. Willard B. Brown as Acting Branch Chief, and Mr. Philip Ting has replaced Mr. C. N. (Mih). Smith as Section Leader of the MC&A and Physical Security Licensing Section.
In order to maintain an efficient utilization of staff within the Licensing Section, it has j
become necessary to make some changes in licensing reviewer assignments.
As'a result, Chuck Gaskin will be your physical security reviewer (rather than Don Joy). Don Joy will continue to be your MC&A licensing reviewer.
