This is in response to your letter dated April 7,1987, in which you formally l requested a modification to existing License Condition 9.4 of your Safeguards !
Amendment. In accordance with our previous discussion on this matter during the NRC/UNC meeting on March 25,1987 (in Silver Spring, Maryland), the requested j modification is acceptable.
1 We have also determined that the granting of your request will not adversely l affect the common defense and security nor the public health and safety, and is otherwise in the public interest. Accordingly, we are hereby revising Condition 9.4 to Amendment SG-1 of your License No. SNM-696, effective ,
immediately, to read as follows: '
9.4 Tne licensee shall install the replacement " intrusion detection alarm !
system" for the perimeter of the protected area (PA), as described in I Attachments A and B of his February 19, 1986 letter. The procurement, installation and implementation schedule for such replacement system snall be in accordance with that presented in the enclosure to the licensee's letter (R. J. Giglotti to W. B. Brown) dated April 7, 1987. Until such time that the replacement alarm system is operational, 1 the licensee shall provide all of the measure set forth in Supplemental .
