Dear Sir:
On Friday September 25,.1987, a. routine audit'of the records of the Dow TRIGA Research Reactor facility showed that the tasks listed on the-scheduled weekly checklist for the week'of July 13, 1987, had not been ,
performed, in violation of the administrative procedures of this facility.
Two of these tasks involve surveillance required by the Technical.
Specifications. The rod drop time measurements, required to be performed at least semi-annually (item F.11.b. of the Technical Specifications), and the calibration of the Continuous Air Monitor, required to be performed at least annually (item G.3. of the Technical Specifications), are both performed on a weekly basis and therefore.there was no violation of the Technical Specifications.
Failure to complete these tasks as scheduled did not involve any-safety.'
considerations, emergency situations, or Technical Specification violations.
The administrative procedures have~been reviewed and steps taken to avoid future occurrences will be documented in the minutes of the Reactor Operations Committee.
