NRC letter, Gagliardo to Williams dated August 28, 1987 (G-87287)
Dear Mr. Gagliardo:
On September 25, Mr. David Goss of PSC contacted Mr. Mike Skow at Region IV to request an extension to PSC's response to Inspection Report 87-20.
This notice of violation was related to a deficiency identified by Mr. Glenn Madsen concerning the closeout review of controlled work procedures (CWPs). This violation is another example of problems related to PSC's design control program as discussed in Arlington, Texas on October 10, 1987.
In order for PSC to better address this overall issue and proposed corrective action dealing with the many aspects of the design control program, PSC intends to submit its response to Inspection 87-20 on or before October 16, 1987.
Mr.
Skow indicated that a delay was acceptable and requested that PSC confirm the NRC's telephone concurrence with this letter.
