Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 (TMI-2) i Operating License No. DPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 Pressurized Defueling Safety Evaluation Report Attached for your review and approval is Revision 3 of the Pressurizer Defueling' Safety Evaluation Report (SER).
This revision supercedes Revision 2 which was submitted to the NRC ore March 11, 1987.
This revision permits the process stream to bypass the Defueling Water Cleanup System (DHCS) filter canisters.
The primary system flowpath will process the discharge from the pressurizer tnrough a knockout canister and return it directly to the Reactor Vessel (RV) through the DHCS.
This flowpath will enable pressurizer defueling to be performed without affecting ongoing water clarity operations.
The capability to use the DHCS filter canister will be maintained. This evolution is currently scheduled to commence the second week of August 1987.
